Macro Food…it’s beautiful

Hello all, just a quicky post as I still have mucho homework and a 6 day school week looming over my head…sigh.

I can’t wait till I have more time to share with you what I’ve learned and what I’ve been cooking up.

I presented my final last week to my instructor and the response I got was:

“wow, just wow!” “this is possibly the best food slideshow I’ve ever seen”

Did you all just hear my heart go pitter patter?

The was some good constructive feed back also, I ended up deleting one weaker photo, but all in all I was very pleased.  On Friday we all got to watch all the other students slideshows.  It was my turn to say “wow, just wow”.  There are some incredibly talented people out there.  but I”m happy to say that I am the only one who did a totally food-centric slide show (one other was a restaurant kitchen centered show) and the other two macro shows were flower related.

I loaded up my show onto YouTube…errr, a first for me.  It’s only 2 minutes and 40 seconds long, if you have the time I’d love for you to watch it.

Also, on a sadder note, this past weekend my husband and I spread our Becca Doodle’s ashes in all of her favorite places.  It was an emotionally day, we love and miss her very much!

She was a rescue dog, we thought we were rescuing her but I think she rescued us.

Wonderful presentation!! I am so sorry to here about Becca, I do know how hard it is – they are not “pets”, they are family, they are our children.

I’m sorry to hear about your doggie, while we all know in our heads that everything eventually has to pass on to another life our hearts just can’t always agree.

On another less sad note, I’m a new follower so I missed a lot of stuff. What are you going to school for? Culinary or Photography?

Cassie, thanks for the kind words. I am currently going to school for photography with the goal of doing food photography. This wonderful opportunity came up and I couldn’t pass it up!

Even though you know it’s coming its hard to lose a loved pet. I’m glad you enjoyed the slideshow.

Becca was lucky to have you – heaven on earth for her while she was here, I’m sure. The slideshow is just gorgeous, Rhonda! I think I identified most of them, but some of them look like something from a far off planet. Glad you’re enjoying your school! xoxo

From a far off planet…maybe the turnip or the York Peppermint Patty M&Ms?
